Okay let me be the first to say that although I have worked in fashion industry sector in my early years the older I get the less I became fascinated about "fashion." I've worked for high end luxury companies, assisted styling, free-lance modeling, makeup -artist. I mean you name it. But something deep inside of me lost that connection in the fashion industry. I also wasn't too enthused by what many of the stores were selling. I am the shopper that looks at where the garment was made, I like to smell, touch material. I am a quality over quantity consumer but I also lost the urge to shop. Yep, trying on clothes in the fitting room is time and consuming- spending money on clothes, I would probably wear once was a waste of money.
I also made huge lifestyle changes that contributed to how I shopped. Its been almost 10 years since living as a minimalist which has changed my life. I had to really determine okay did I need 40 pair of jeans and sneakers? I became a super conscious consumer.Trendy, hardly following trends will leave you broke. I believe in having your "making those pieces hit" items, and the rest keep it basic. I am collector of vintage, brass jewelry yes, I will shop high and low for the adorned arm, ring, neck candy. But clothes I rather wear one of kind custom made items.
