So, I've been on my health and wellness journey for quite some time, and realized the older I get the more paying attention to my body is crucial. Especially the foods I eat, its been over a year since incorporating chicken back into my diet. I have to say I am glad I did. I missed eating chicken but I also can consider plant based lifestyle. I like to go back and fourth and diversify my food choices. I also begin to implement once a week dry fasting this includes no solid foods for 24 hours with limited water. Sometimes you need to give your digestive system a break. I found that doing this help to reset my gut health; while figuring out and listening to needs of my body. I think its important to find the balance between what the body is needing vs. craving. I like to snack but as of recent I have been only snacking on fruits.
One of my favorite platter of fruits is pineapples, tree tomatoes, passion fruit and mini bananas. I also like to blend them and make smoothies which is so refreshing. I can stress enough how our health habits truly start in the kitchen. I also like to workout my favorite routine is walking. As long as you're moving your body and remaining active, this can boost your metabolism. In the beginning of year I gained weight and I actually felt it, but I didn't take immediate action to I went to the doctor. As someone whose self motivated and huge on wellness. I had a intervention with my primary physician and she recommended for to drop some weight, immediately! I I have proudly lost 10 lbs and feel so proud myself.
In each season of your life you will be called to pay attention to your wellbeing and taking the necessary steps to be better. As for me my ultimate goal was nutritional and optimum health. When you feel good on the inside it shows on the outside.
