Unequally Yoked Relationships

Writer's picture: Sylvia M.Sylvia M.

Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what partnership can righteousness have wickedness? or what fellowship does light have with darkness? What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? or what believer have in common with an unbeliever? What agreement can exist between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. 2 Corinthians 14-16 BSB

I was sitting in coffee shop in back of group of women based on their accents they sounded British. I was about to put on my ear phones to listen to my worship music, something said nope listen. Unbeknownst, they were having a discussion about the holy spirit. So now I am all ears, and it warmed my heart to hear these young women discussing the word of God. They could have been participating in gossip and unproductive conversations. It made me think about the people we are connected to whether it be friends, family, colleagues, relationships. As children of God we must monitor our mouth piece, lifestyle, we must be intentional with how we engage with each other. God hears and sees everything we do so when we do, we must be the light in dark places. Our interactions- relationships with people must be intentional so the God gets the glory. Stay amongst those who feed your spirit.. and be ready disciple to those don't.

We are set apart for reason... ( Respectfully)
